Robinson brings 25 years of figure skating experience to Suburban Sports Group.

Suburban Sports Group of Farmington Hills, Michigan, has hired Jon Phillip Robinson as the Skating Director at the Onyx-Rochester Ice Arena.

Robinson has served as the Skating Director and Contract Coach at Genoveva Chavez Community Ice Arena in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for the past five years. He joined the community center ice arena as an Assistant Ice Arena Manager, Skating Director and Contract Coach in 2001.

From 1993-97, Robinson was a head coach and skating school director of Sky Rink in Hong Kong when business nearly tripled. For two years, he was a principal skater in Walt Disney’s World On Ice productions Pinocchio and Beauty and the Beast in Australia, Canada and the United States.

Robinson is a 10 Consecutive Time Champion at the ISI Worlds in Freestyle, Speed Skating and Hockey Skating. He is also a four time Championship Men’s Competitor at the United State Figure Skating Championships and has passed the highest level test in all USFS figure skating disciplines.
