As Suburban Sports Group continues to grow, so does our need for good
employees. Suburban currently manages three ice arenas in the metro-Detroit area,
each providing people from all walks of life a number of opportunities on either a full-
or part-time basis. Whether you are a high school student in need of an after-school
job, a hockey mom who enjoys being at the rink, or a senior citizen looking to fill a few

Arena Attendant
Job Description:
Responsible for the safety and quality of public skating sessions through proper
supervision of skaters and rule enforcement, as well as maintaing the cleanliness and
overall appearance of the rink. Also assists with distribution of rental skates.
Qualifications:
Professional appearance, friendly and outgoing personality, dedication to the highest
level of guest service, sufficient ice skating skills to adequately patrol the ice.

Concessions Attendant
Job Description:
Servicing concession guests in a friendly and courteous way, keeping the dining and
concession area clean, stocking food & beverage items, supporting office staff when
needed in answering phones and addressing customer inquiries, assisting in maintaining
inventory.
Qualifications:
Professional appearance, friendly and outgoing personality, dedication to the highest
level of guest service, experience with business machine operation, ability to deal with
money, strong multi-tasking skills.

Pro Shop Attendant
Job Description:
Serve customers who are looking to buy equipment/apparel in a friendly and courteous
manner, provide quality skate sharpening, track inventory, maintain clean and attractive
atmosphere in the store, design creative merchandise displays, come up with sale and
promotional strategies, answer phones.
Qualifications:
Professional appearance, friendly and outgoing personality, dedication to the highest
level of guest service, sufficient knowledge of hockey/figure skating equipment, ability to
sharpen ice skates (will train).

Maintenance Attendant
Job Description:
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe building as well as a high quality ice
surface, perform and record daily maintenance tasks on equipment such as refrigeration,
ice resurfacer, power edgers, etc.
Qualifications:
Professional appearance, appreciation and understanding of the characteristics of high
quality ice, mechanical skills, ability to work productively without constant supervision.

Hockey School Instructor
Job Description:
Teaching specific skills in Suburban Hockey School clinics, while ensuring that all
students have an enjoyable learning experience.
Qualifications:
Playing and/or coaching experience at the junior, college and/or professional level,
friendly and outgoing attitude, particularly towards children, ability to teach the game of
hockey, professional appearance.
