Thomas A. Anastos, President

A graduate of Michigan State University with a BS in Building
Construction Management, Anastos has molded the Suburban
philosophy by incorporating his hands-on approach to management.
Anastos played hockey at Michigan State and in the Montreal
Canadiens organization. He later coached at the collegiate level
before entering private business. He has served on the Michigan
Amateur Hockey Association Board of Directors and serves on the
Board of Directors of USA Hockey, and is a member of their
International and Junior Councils. Anastos is the commissioner of
the Central Collegiate Hockey Association of the NCAA.

Lyle Phair , Vice-President, Operations & Programming

Also a graduate of Michigan State University, Phair earned his BA in
Business in 1985. Since then he has acquired almost 20 years of
experience in ice arena programming. He played collegiate hockey at
Michigan State and professionally for the Los Angeles Kings. Phair
also coached at University of Illinois-Chicago before joining that
Suburban staff full time in 1993. His primary responsibilities include
the oversight, development and implementation of all Suburban ice
arena programming, including leagues, instructional programs,
seminars and specialty programs. Phair is also a regular columnist
for Michigan Hockey.
